Would it be right to avoid her? ?

Long story short, I'm bi. My best friend is not. I fell in love with her. For a while it was mad akward, but it worked out. We were talking about it the other night and she said it doesnt matter it's over now. It broke my heart because I am SO in love with this girl it hurts. I literally feel physical pain when she's upset or when I do something wrong or when she says something like that. I can't go on like this much longer. I was thinking I should stop all contact with her for a while to rethink things and kind of get my life back.. Thoughts?
