Creationists, are your rejections of scientific theories following a trend?

Also, when the bible and all that stuff was written, they had no technology to know that stuff, so they just went by what made sense. Once the new technology comes out to prove it, then they realize what it actually is. Though, the church has not been known to say willingly they made a mistake....
