Battery life on Droid Incredible 2?

After my phone suddenly died, I had to make a sudden decision and purchased a Droid Incredible 2 just yesterday. It is a cool phone and no doubt it will take forever for me to figure it out...but. My question is about the battery life. I charged it for an hour or so when I got home and it was dying by the time I went to bed. I charged it overnight and this morning my daughter was messing with it and by 9:30 the battery went from fully charged to half (at least the little pic of the battery on the top of the phone was half filled and went from green to yellow) Is this normal? I'm fine with having to charge the phone every night...but more often than that?
